Land Acknowledgement

As an organization that practices in partnership with people and equines that live and work on Tovaangar and lands, Helping Hoof has the responsibility to acknowledge that we are located on the historical homelands of Indigenous communities. The purpose of this Land Acknowledgment is to honor and respect those peoples and recognize their enduring relationship to the land.

Our Land Acknowledgment:

Helping Hoof operates on the ancestral lands of the Gabrieliño-Tongva, Tataviam, Kizh, and Chumash peoples who continue to call this region home. Helping Hoof respectfully acknowledges these Indigenous peoples as the traditional caretakers of this landscape, as the direct descendants of the first people. Helping Hoof recognizes their continued presence and is grateful to have the opportunity to work and learn on this land.
