As an organization that practices in partnership with people and equines that live and work on the Yokuts, Monache and Mono lands, Helping Hoof has the responsibility to acknowledge that we are located on the historical and current homelands of Indigenous communities. The purpose of this Land Acknowledgment is to honor and respect those peoples and recognize their enduring relationship to the land.

Helping Hoof operates on the ancestral lands of the Yokuts, Monache and Mono who continue to call this region home. Helping Hoof respectfully acknowledges these Indigenous peoples as the traditional caretakers of this landscape, as the direct descendants of the first people. Helping Hoof recognizes their continued presence and is grateful to have the opportunity to work and learn on this land.
